Radiation Monitoring and Dose Estimation of the Fukushima Nuclear Accident
The Fukushima nuclear power plant meltdown was a significant motivating factor in advancing the study of the effects that nuclear power usage (and accidents) has on human life, animal life, and the environment. In the book Radiation Monitoring and Dose Estimation of the Fukushima Nuclear Accident, by author and editor Sentaro Takahashi, sheds light on the levels of radioactive nuclides, and dose estimation in local residents following the accident. The bulk of the book is dedicated to scientific reports, consisting of data on radiation levels, transfer models, and dose assessments. This book provides valuable information related to the effect that nuclear accidents can have on both the surrounding environment, and the life which exists within it.
