Bergonism
Bergson's writings incorporate three primary concepts: duration, memory, and elan vital. In the book Bergonism, by author Giles Deleuze analyzes Bergson's essays in an attempt to draw connections to more modern philosophical debates and teachings. Originally published more than thirty years ago, Bergsonism has been translated into English by Barbara Habberjam. Since its initial printing in November of 1990, this book has become a classic, and has been a trusted companion for anyone pursuing the study of philosophy. Our understanding of duration as it relates to the way we think about time and space is one of the major concepts behind Bergson's theoretical principles. Deleuze's own work has been heavily influenced by the teachings of Bergson.
