As you're getting started on your journey of hoop dance or hoop 'flow', I would highly recommend getting a polypro hoop! These are high quality hoops that last for years. If you are a beginner, I recommend going with the 3/4 tubing size, with a diameter of 30 or above. Bigger hoops allow you to move slower, as you start to refine new tricks! Once you have mastered your bigger size and feel comfortable with the weight of it, you can downsize and experiment with a lighter hoop that is agile and will move more quickly. I have a bunch of polypro hoops of all sizes that have lasted a very long time, and as you get into the groove, you will find yourself dancing with all of them, and noticing the variations of flow that each size allows. Welcome to the flow community, and happy hooping! ☺️

A word from the seller:

  • ? Polypro Hoops are hoops that are meant for doing tricks, dancing, off body moves and used primarily at festivals and for faster flow.
  • ? Polypro is a light weight plastic that comes in all sorts of varieties of colors and sizes. We have 24 colors for you to choose from!
  • ? The Spinsterz makes all their hoops in Bend, Oregon and our plastic is made for us in California. No plastic circles from China here!
  • ? Polypro hoops are lighter, stiffer, more springy and reactive. In hooping terms they are quicker, lighter, more responsive and generally a lot better than the standard hardware store irrigation tubing historically used to make hoops.
  • ? The Spinsterz has been in business for 15 years and we KNOW what makes the BEST hoop, and that is what you will get from us every time.

Thanks for sharing this product link! Can you please tell me what is it about this specific hula hoop that makes it better/easier to use when trying to do tricks?
