Muslim - Christian Relations
Muslims and Christian have a long history of tense relations with one another, starting with the birth of the Arab Muslim national identity. In the book Muslim - Christian Relations in the Late Ottoman Palestine: Where Nationalism and Religion Intersect, author Erik Freas examines this relationship, and the monumental events that transpired during the late Ottoman period. The book focuses on the Christian perpencity to take advantage of their new rights in Muslim society, rather than upholding and fulfilling their civic duties. The first edition of Muslim - Christian Relations was originally published in 2016 by Palgrave MacMillan, this current volume was released in January of 2020.
