A Treasury of American Folklore
A Treasury of American Folklore: Stories, Ballads, and Traditions of the People by B. A. Botkin, is an American literary classic! In a 2012 exhibit, the Library of Congress cited the book as being one of the “top 100 books that shaped America." This anthology volume contains 500 different stories, and 100 different songs curated by B. A. Botkin. Botkin served as editor for the National Folklore Federal Writers Project from 1938, to 1939. The author also served as archivist of folk songs at the Library of Congress for a short time. This updated edition was published by Global Pequat in October of 2016.
