As a competitive triathlete, this show is my absolute favorite. It travels with me on all outdoor trails. On smooth surfaces, it is lightweight but sure-footed. On uneven terrain, the traction is the grippy and secure - the best of all other brands that I have personally tested. The generous toe box ensures that my toes have plenty of grip surface and never crowd my little toes. This is my 8th pair of Altra Lone Peaks - and although one geeration of them seemed to have a slightly softer tread material (read: they wore down quickly!), they seemed to have corrected that in this latest version.
